The Poolside Perspective OpéraSPORT Looks to Seoul for SS26

OpéraSPORT’s Spring Summer 2026 show felt calm from the moment guests arrived at Frederiksberg Badene. The Copenhagen swimming facility, filled with natural light and quiet reflections, offered a peaceful backdrop that set the tone for the entire collection. This season, co-founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter took inspiration from their recent trip to Seoul. The energy of the city, with its balance of tradition and modern life, became the starting point for a collection that celebrates contrast in a gentle and refined way.

Color played a central role. The palette pulled from Seoul’s pastel architecture and soft light, with tones of sage, butter yellow, pale pink, crisp white, and the brand’s signature pastel green. A custom hibiscus print, paying tribute to Korea’s national flower, appeared across several looks. It added both cultural reference and visual softness, especially on pieces like a vegan leather jacket and a standout trench coat covered in floral embroidery and 3D appliqués.

The collection mixed structure with softness. Sculptural dresses were paired with delicate lace styles, and tailored sets brought clean lines without feeling too sharp. Throughout the collection, there was a clear appreciation for craftsmanship and simplicity. Each piece felt wearable but still elevated. Sustainability remained a core value, with all garments made from recycled or organic fabrics. One of the more unexpected elements was a collaboration with Havaianas. Known for their classic flip-flops, the Brazilian brand brought something new to the runway with the first-ever 3D-printed version, created in partnership with footwear technology company Zellerfeld. It was a playful addition that brought a sense of innovation to the show while still fitting into the collection’s overall rhythm.

Hair was styled by Hanna Ramirez using Iles Formula, keeping the looks natural and easy. Makeup by Miild focused on dewy skin and soft floral tones, complementing the mood of the collection without overpowering it.

Inspired by the quiet beauty of Seoul and rooted in OpéraSPORT’s timeless design language, the collection offered something that felt both current and lasting.

The collection will be available in stores and online from February 2026.
